Our Company

ABOUT EMERGE OFFICE

It all begins with an idea…

No matter what line of business you are in, there’s always that initial spark that sets the future in motion. And for us at Emerge Office, it all started with a vision to establish the first regional office equipment dealer outside Perth from our base in Bunbury. This was the late 70s, when no one could have fathomed the technology we have at our fingertips today. And in 1981, the idea became reality.

Our ownership may have evolved over the years, but the direction and philosophy of Emerge Office has remained solid. Assisting businesses, connecting with customers and supporting the community have always been cornerstones of our company’s mission, allowing our ever-growing team to consistently deliver forward-thinking solutions that simplify operations, no matter the scope.

OUR HISTORY

Let’s take a trip down memory lane…

1981

Jessie’s Girl hit the top of the charts and the fax machine was all the rage. A young IT technician, Rob, would commute back and forth from Perth on a weekly basis as demand for machines in the South West skyrocketed. He was offered an opportunity to start his own locally-based dealership, and that conversation would lead to Bunbury’s first office equipment supply business.

1980s

As popularity of calculator watches reached fever pitch on a global level, in South West WA Rob became a pioneer in introducing technology advancements to the region. The business grew exponentially on the back of its renowned customer service – a commitment that has remained solid to this day.

Early 1990s

The Fresh Prince famously moved to Bel-Air and Rob made a significant shift of his own, relocating the business from its first site near Trafalgar’s on Victoria Street to Mummery Crescent. By 2001, Rob realised his dream of retiring to travel around Australia in a caravan by selling the business to long-time friend and sales manager Doug.

2000s

With the rise of the internet came a whole new world of opportunity, and the business continued to expand under Doug’s watch. It was time for an even bigger premises, leading to the shiny showroom opening at 116 Blair Street – where it proudly remains today. While fax machines had begun to fade out, all-in-one technology was only just getting started.

2020s

TikTok emerged as the most downloaded app in 2020, coinciding with Skye and Shaun taking over operations. Not only did the new directors honour the company’s 40-year legacy of delivering solution-driven, customer-focused technology to the South West, but they forged new growth pathways to meet demand.

The business was rebranded as Emerge Office to recognise the diversification of its offering, including an expanded product range and assistance options. Emerge Office became a requested dealer for many globally-recognised companies, and in 2021 became the third premium reseller of BenQ in WA.

2022

As digital technologies seemed to multiply at an infinite pace, Emerge Office Paved the way in supporting customers to adapt with changing times. This included the acquisition of Coastal Business Equipment in Mandurah – a Kyocera Authorised Dealer – plus the addition of even more products such as business phone systems, video conferencing, digital signage and more.

Not only has this allowed Emerge Office to service the Peel and Perth regions in addition to the South West, but these new markets have been able to experience the benefits of a strong regional foundation, driven by community and proven trust.

2023

In 2023, Emerge acquired 2Easy Computing after a long-term working relationship between the two companies. Given they would often cross refer clients owing to their shared outlook on customer experience, the partnership with Dave’s team at 2easy was a natural progression. The merger has allowed Emerge to further extend its reach on a national scale to become one of the only full-service office technology companies encompassing IT, print, voice and emerging technologies.
